The Freelancer’s Journey is a community-driven digital resource designed to make the world of freelance design more approachable and inclusive. The project challenges the often intimidating and exclusionary tone of traditional design education by offering accessible, welcoming guidance for emerging designers, especially students of color, queer students, and those from low-income backgrounds.
Through warm colors, soft typography, and inviting layouts, the website creates a learning space that feels supportive rather than clinical. Beyond sharing essential knowledge about freelancing, The Freelancer’s Journey reimagines what the face of design can look like, fostering a sense of belonging and empowerment for creatives who have too often been left out of the conversation.

Process, Guidebook, & More
One of the other ways I approached this was by creating a guidebook for interacting with clients, along with a planner and tote bag. I stepped into the shoes of what I needed as I began my career and what I would want those items to look and feel like.
